Donald Joseph Qualls also known as DJ Qualls in America is an American actor and producer. Shooting to fame for his role as a character in Road Trip he has since played in more than 20 feature films including The New Guy Hustle & Flow and The Core. Alongside his role as a character in the film, he's been featured in more than 22 television programs like Breaking Bad Supernatural Srubs Lost Law & Order and many more. Qualls was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma around age 14, and has battled this disease since. Following two years of treatment the cancer was cured. The earlier treatment had a severe impact on his health as well as stunted growth. Once he was acting, financial security was his aim. He was a victim of the poverty of his youth. He commented, "I've been living so cheap for so many years that I'm in need of to have financial security, otherwise my life will feel out-of-control and that's not good for me." He looks back on his early years, and is driven by the desire to act against bullying. "Cruelty is a pain to me," he said. The best role for DJ is that of a father in real life. The director doesn't choose him for these roles however, he claims. One day he'd love to have a baby so that he could devote more time to more attention to the child.
